Photography nerditry: Been playing with a Sachtler Flowtech video tripod for still photography around town, and I *really* like it. It's rock solid (as good or better than any carbon fiber tripod I've ever used), but what has me hooked is the unusual telescoping mechanism. Instead of twist locks at each leg section, there's a single lever at the *top* of each leg that unlocks the sections. You can unlock the legs, adjust the height, and re-lock it in a few seconds without even bending down.
