Well, after avoiding Covid infection for four good years, my near-obsessive use of a respirator, up-to-date vaccinations, and general caution were no match for #defcon and the LVCC this year. Tested + Sunday afternoon, started feeling crappy by evening. Seems to be a fairly mild case so far, and already feeling much better than yesterday.

@lou @mattblaze As I understand it, that is why it is very important to take things easy for a few weeks after symptoms subside. Reduces risk of LC.
@oclsc @mattblaze I hope that extra rest will help ward off LongCovid. Worried that @mattblaze was hit with all his care. We have stayed OK, but at our age, anything would be dangerous.
@lou @mattblaze We're still ok too despite my travel, though trains seem to have much better air exchange than planes.
